At the Letter to a Dead Friend-exhibition held at the Fumetto Festival in March 2001, visitors were encouraged to write their own letter to a dead friend. Here is a selection from over 100 letters which were left in a post box at that occasion.


My friend Lars was my only friend at primary school. He went to
secondary school and became a skinhead, an alcoholic, and he
killed himself when his girlfriend left him. I would have liked
having seen him once again.
